It's May 18, 2009, and I'm Liz Parker. It feels weird to say that now, even though it still is technically the truth. You see, today is my wedding day. Yes, that's right. Wedding Day. Today could very well be the day I have my very first panic attack. I know all the arrangements have been made, and Maria and Isabel, my two maids of honor, keep telling me that I look beautiful in my dress, I can't help but worry. Oh God. I haven't even said who the groom is yet! That's how nervous I am right now. Maybe I should try out my new name in this journal, since I don't intend to stop writing in it. Elizabeth Rose Evans.

"Liz, come on! You're going to be late for your own wedding!" Maria yelled at her best friend impatiently.

Liz looked up from the journal she was writing in. "Oh God Maria! I'm going to forget everything I'm supposed to say!"

"Liz, all you have to do is repeat everything the minister says, but there is one thing you might have trouble with, so I'm going to help you. Now repeat after me: I... Dooooo."

"Maria, what if he changes his mind? What if it turns out to be 'Runaway Groom?'"

"God, Liz, it is a little too late to be thinking Julia Roberts now."

"I'm sorry, it's just that I love Max so much, I don't know what would happen if he changed his mind."

Maria tone softened considerably at this. "Lizzy, I know you've always been the smart one, and I admit, there are a lot of things I don't know in this world, but there is no way anyone could ever doubt Max's love for you."

Liz considered this, took a few deep breaths, and said, "You're right, Maria. Thank you for reminding me of that."

They both shared a moment where they both knew what the other was thinking, not for nothing had they been best friends since... Forever.

Isabel then ran into the room, looking lovely as ever in her sky blue attendant's dress. "Come on guys! The limo is waiting for us!"

Maria and Liz broke the moment, and when her statement sank in, they both said incredulously, "LIMO????"

Isabel had a mischievous smile on her face when she replied nonchalantly, "Oh, did I forget to tell you two that the guys chipped in on a limo for us?"

Maria and Liz looked at each other, then at Isabel, then back and forth again. Then they both screamed "WE GOT A LIMO!!!!!!!"

They both then jumped up and started jumping and hopping and boogying in general, and Isabel had no choice but to join them, they looked so happy.

They continued doing this until a guy in a snazzy blue uniform came up and tapped Liz on the shoulder. "What?" she answered, out of breath.

"Well, I just wanted you ladies to know that we are supposed to be at the chapel in 10 minutes, and if you don't get a move on, you might miss the wedding entirely."

It was complete pandemonium. Maria screeching, "Find the flowers!! We can't go in that chapel without the flowers!!", Liz breathing so fast she was almost hyperventilating, the limo driver trying to help the girls out, but really getting in the way.

Isabel was the only calm one. She took a deep breath, handed Liz a paper bag, found Maria's bouquet, and gently pushed the driver back, saying, "Why don't you go get the car ready?" The driver backed off apologetically, then went out the door.

Liz, who had finally gotten control of herself, turned to Isabel and asked quizzically, "How can you stay so calm?"

Isabel looked at Liz, panic finally showing in her eyes, and said, a little more stressfully than before, "Not now! We only have 5 minutes to get to the chapel!"

With that, she grabbed her bouquet and sprinted out the door.

"Where are they, Michael?" Max Evans asked his friend urgently.

Michael Guerin looked over at his friend, with amusement in his eyes. Calm, collected Max Evans was only about 2 seconds away from breaking out into an all-out sweat. He subconsciously cleared his face of all signs of laughter, and said in a totally calm voice, "Well, Max, I think they've killed the limo driver, taken the limo, and all become lesbians."

Max turned toward Michael. The seriously panicked expression on his face made Michael seriously crack up laughing at him. "Max, CHILL OUT. So they're like what, 5 minutes late? And you start acting as if they all just decided to drive the limo off a cliff."

Max knew that to Michael this had to seem hilariously funny, but he was majority stressed out now. What if Liz changed her mind? What if at the last second she decided that maybe Max wasn't the one for her? He thought back to the night he'd proposed to her.

He had been nervous all night, but either it didn't show like he thought it did, or it could have been that Liz was too nice to say anything about it. They had gone to dinner at an Italian place, and Max had thought about doing it then, but he didn't think he'd be able to tell her the extent of his feelings with 30 people watching him. Then they'd gone to a movie, and he most certainly couldn't propose then, so afterward he had suggested they go out to the desert and stargaze.

He remembered how somehow, she'd looked the most beautiful that night out of all the time he'd ever known her. When he'd finally got up the nerve to pop the question, she'd looked at him with surprise, and he'd thought that she would turn him down, and soon afterward, he would crumble into a pile of dust and die.

But she hadn't. That was the most shocking thing of all. She'd looked at him with the most beautiful expression on her face and said, "Max, there is no one in this world," she then glanced up at the stars, then looked back at him, "or any other that I would rather have me ask that question. Yes Maxwell Evans, I will most definitely marry you. "

He knew he must have looked utterly stupid, but the only thing that was happening in his brain was the repeat of her words. "Yes... I will most definitely marry you."

She had smiled at him, in that utterly perfect Liz way, and then kissed him, softly, gently.

And at that instant, Max knew it wasn't a dream. At that moment, he was engaged to Liz Parker. Nothing could ever be wrong in his life. Suddenly the sound of Michael's voice saying, "Earth to Max, Come in, Maxwell." flashed him back to the present.

"What?" he asked with a dreamy sound to his voice.

"What is that the girls are here now, so we can get this show on the road."
