-Hello, my name is Kara, and I occasionally update the site... Happy Thanksgiving, doveys and dovettes! I thought I might actually go ahead and update this baby, since I'm home, and I'm avoiding my family, and I have a really cool laptop so that I can actually update the site while I'm still in bed. *g* I love my laptop. But anyway...
-Happy Thanksgiving, World! It's been an insane 2001, but we're all surviving. Tim's fine, my sister's doing better, and I'm still employed. :) I like being employed. I might have an announcement to make in May of 2002, so stay tuned... No new tattoos, my Dark Angel novel has reached 68,000 words, and I might actually start writing my own novel soon. Thanks for all your support in the past few months. It's been awesome. I never knew how much this place meant to all of you. So, on with the fics!
-First up is a really cool foofy story by emrie about Maria's adventures babysitting, Worth Her Salt

-Hello everyone and happy Friday. :) I have the day off from work today, woohoo! So I had plenty of extra time to get an update in. ;) Although I still need to go to the store to get more conditioner... Gah. I'll do that after I'm done here I guess.
-First of all, RU got nominated for a Roswell Sky Award, apparently... So if you'd like to vote for us, you can click on the Roswell Sky banner up above, or on our index page.
-I also put together another one of RU's infamous photo albums... :) Y'know, we really should gather them all together and slap them up on a single page. But that'll be a project for another time I guess. Until then, here's some cutie pictures of me and John that you can inspect. :) You know you've missed these. You know you have. *g*
-And finally, on to the stories... Today is an M/M and Alex/Isabel day. But first, I've been informed that Chelca's story from yesterday wasn't working, so we'll try it again here as our first story for today. Birthday.
-Then we have the next part of Marda's Letters to Alex series, this one's from Tess. And it's called A Letter to Alex, from Tess.
-We also have a really cool new fic by Shadowgirl... This is a great premise for a fic IMHO. :) It's an A/I fic called Never Again.
-We also have an A/I and M&M AU fic by Mira... A nice little bit of foof called Let Me In, which is extremely Egyptian. :)
-Oh, and good news! Kara said she wants to help with the site again too... So look for updates from her again. We haven't worked out exactly how we're going to split things up yet, but I'll keep you posted.
-Yay for RU! :)

-This is a test... This is only a test of the Emergency RU System. If this had been an actual emergency, you would have thudded to the ground in shock because WE ARE BACK! :) Yes, this is Emily here and I have some new fics for you... It'll probably just be me doing this for a while 'cause Kara's kind of lost interest in Roswell, as sad as that is... Although I got John (my DLS boyfriend :) ) hooked so it's all good.
-I can't promise updates every day. But I will try at least a few times a week. We're still only going to be accepting recommendations for now, at least until we get through the rest of the fics that are in the In-Box. Yeah, we'll just call them 'vintage' fics, 'cause some of them are from April, believe it or not... *blush*
-Okay, so here is our first 'vintage' fic... This one is the next installment of Chelca Anderson's My Life series, which is pretty much a bunch of foofy M&M future fic from Michael's POV in case you forgot... :) Birthday, in which Michael tries to survive his daughter's first birthday party. (Aww, Daddy Michael! :) )
-Then we have a Kyle/Tess fic (wahh, Kyle/Tess :~( ) from those innocent pre-CYN days... Worth Waiting For (Part 1: "You") by Vlada.
-We also have a little non-Egyptian reminder from Marda... The next part to her Letters to Alex series. I believe we already have the Isabel one posted. This one is the Maria one. A Letter to Alex from Maria.
-And finally, more non-Egyptian-ness... An angsty A/I CYN tag by Tesseract, Watching. Alex. *sniffles*
-Well, I hope I'll be back with more fics soon! Stay tuned until then. :)

-Em and I would like to offer our prayers for those who live in Manhattan and Washington DC, and for any of those who might have had family there. -*waves, noting how many people actually pass out* Yes, it's an update, whoohoo! Kara here with five new fics. That just leaves seventy-odd fics to weed through in the mailbox. Gahhhh... Buffalo was cool. The REs will continue when I get inspired again, and Em officially has a DLS type person, so she's off in "Not Updating" land right now. *g* She's so gonna kill me, but anyway...So, without further ado, your fics, my dovely readers. Oh, and for those of you who care, my bard is now almost 11th level in D&D. *beams*
-First up is an awesome M&M childhood fic by Aelita called Terrors of the Playground
-Second is a very cool alternate Tess POV to "Departure" by buggaboo called Abandoning the Rebellion
-Third is a great Max/Maria bondage story by Erin called It's All Going to Be Okay

Hear ye! Hear ye! Due to someone hacking into our server and temporarily deleting our files (don't worry, supposedly they'll be back again soon...), Em and I have decided to institute a new policy. Until further notice, RU is no longer accepting stories. We'll weed through what is currently sitting in Mr. Raddish, and we'll take recommendations, but we will not be accepting email submissions. Anything mailed in after today will not be read, but automatically deleted. This is just because between the two of us and work and DLS's, we have no time. And I'd like to finish my DA angst novel epic type thing. *g*

This could mean possible restructuring for RU. I'm sorry we have to do this, but this little hack has been seen as a bit of a sign by Em and I. RU isn't closing, but it is downsizing for the moment. If we start taking stories again, we'll let you guys know.

-Sorry about the lack of updates. You're about to endure another week of them too. :( I'm off to Buffalo for the 4th, so I won't be back til Sunday the 7th or whatever the date is. Hopefully, we'll have an update for Monday the 9th, with an RE and fics galore. Oooh, so Sunday would be the 8th...anyway, Happy Late Canada Day and Early 4th of July! Only three more months til Dark Angel's second season premiers...I will make it...I will make it...

-Ack, ten days since the last update. But this time, it was a family emergency. My grandpa had to have his gall bladder out on Thursday, and we had eleven proposals come in this week. It's been...kinda busy. I'm going to try to update the site twice a week, and even write REs again, so keep checking back. It's just kind of nuts right now. On the plus side, my grandpa is back home again (yay!), and my company actually won a proposal I wrote that's worth 1-3 million dollars! *happy dance* So life is definitely looking up. :)
-First story today is a very cool Woozle fic by Tracy called Father and Son
-Second fic is an M&M birthday foof by Jenn called When I Fall In Love
-Third is a very cool K/I fic by Lilah called Thought I Might Get a Rocket Ride
-Final fic is a very thought-provoking Tess POV tag to season two by Jennifer called Silently Screaming
-And we actually have an RE! *gasp* The Rules of the Bus, part one of the Zoo Arc. I'll try to have part II done this weekend. Enjoy! And tell me what you think. :)

-Oooh, Thursday once again. Here's today's update. :) Sorry about the lack thereof, but we had eight proposals come in this week. Eight. Two are due tomorrow, and the rest are due next week. *whimper* And at some point, I'm supposed to figure out how to run a game of Shadowrun before Sunday. Gahhh. But anyway. *g* For all you RE fans, if you want, check out my DA fanfic page. My latest fic is almost a Dark Angel version of RE. *g*
-First fanfic is a new one from the ever prolific Tracy, this time a very sweet Maria future fic called Butterfly
-Second is an awesome M&M kinda post Destiny fic by Rashida called In the Space Between
-Third is a Diane Evans POV by Sheli called There's Salvation in Denial. Sheli's just been made a mod at the Fanfiction board. :)
-Fourth is a very sniffly Isabel POV tag to Cry Your Name by Pharo called Gone
-Fifth is a really cool young Isabel story called Keys and Wishes by Tesseract
-And the final fic of the night is one of mine, a sequel to "Walk Like an Egyptian" called Back to Egypt (aka Ignore the Mouse Behind the Curtain). First one to find all the private jokes gets a prize. :)

-Whoohoo, an entire week and more since our last update! Emily is being a very naughty Brian because she's currently chasing her own DLS named John, but don't tell her I told you. *g* She's so gonna kill me... I'd also like to wish my sister a Happy 19th Birthday. Go, Kristin! We all survived! Sorry about the lack of updating, but work's been wonky as usual, and I was sick, but I'm better now, I swear. *eg* Gotta love cough syrup with codeine.
-And for anyone who cares, my Dark Angel fanfic archive, Shadows of the Underground is now open. Go visit and sign my guestbook. It's very lonely right now. *g*
-First fic of the day is a new one by Diana, this time a Tess/Kyle post "Baby, It's You" tag called Support. Poor woozle. *sniffles*
-Second is a very cool Tess POV tag to "Cry Your Name" by Sophia called Echoes in Eternity
-Third is a very awesome AU by Rosie called The Fourth Day, basically telling the story as if Maria and Liz had drifted apart after sixth grade
-And our final fic is an excellent M/L almost AU by Germán, Cementing, the first part in her "Together" series.
